The translation of the Ijaazah (permission) and Wasiyyah (recommendation) document written by the late Imam Shirazi concerning the Taqleed of Ayatollah al-Udhma Sayyid Sadiq Shirazi, and his esteemd Marje’ position

Bismillah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem

Praise be to Allah the lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon Muhammad and his purified progeny.

From what I have noted from Ayatollah al-Haajj al-Sayyid Sadiq al-Shirazi (may Allah continue to support him) of achieving an advanced stage of Ijtihaad and an elevated station in taqwa (God-fearing) and justice, I find him fit for giving Fatwa and for being followed in Taqleed, as well as able and competent to stand up to whatever is the duty of a just Faqeeh. 

Therefore it is permissible to follow (taqleed) him and to refer to him in every aspect that requires the permission of a just Marje’.   For I advise him to (seek) more taqwa and precaution, which is the means of salvation in general. 

I also enjoin upon my Mu’min brothers to gather round him, and to benefit from him in every aspect, for Allah is the source of success and guidance and He is the Helper.
